Summer Camp

Here's what the day will look like:

DROP OFF - Children meet at the open, spacious Gym Kids location - St. Veronica's Church - 149 - 155 Christopher between Washington and Greenwhich.

ART is more than just an art class for toddlers. We combine sensory play, science  concepts, and messy process-oriented art to give your child a hands-on experience.  Simple open-ended choices develop independence, decision-making skills, and creativity.  Class will be divided between group activities and teacher directed free play to allow all children to learn in their own way.

GYMNASTICS - Children gain a real sense of independence, as they come to class without a grown-up and have opportunities to say "ALL BY MYSELF!" again and again. All the skill progressions necessary for forward rolls, backward rolls, cartwheels, handstands and more, are built into the obstacle courses that change each week. Children walk away with a real sense of their physical selves and what they are capable of, as well as some very useful listening skills.

SNACK - Snack will be provided.  We enjoy yummy healthy stuff, like Annie's organic crackers and juice boxes.  Snack will always include fresh fruit. Feel free to send along a cold water sippie, clearly marked with your child's name, so they may stay hydrated all day!

MUSIC - Creative and fun music and movement!!  Two teachers, one of whom plays guitar, will greet children on our colorful 30 foot parachute in Hudson River Park at Christopher Street.  Sun Sessions include child-safe percussion instruments, stories, and playful musical improvisation.

PICK UP - Please pick up children at the Hudson River Park just North of the Christopher Street crosswalk. Pick up is at 12 noon sharp. There will be a 5$ per minute charge for adults who pick up their children after 12:15.

Summer Camp is $180 per week
9:30 - 12:00 Monday and Wednesday

Rainy Day Policy: Rainy days will still include music, we will just do it inside - please pick up your child at St. Veronica's when it it raining. Rain declaration will be made at drop-off.
